Pond Creation Volunteering in North Lanarkshire

Froglife’s Living Waters project is looking for volunteers to help with pond creation and management at Greenhead Moss Community Nature Park in Wishaw near Motherwell, in North Lanarkshire, Scotland on Saturday 14th January.

Come and get stuck in (hopefully not the mud) like these volunteers at Dams to Darnley
The volunteering day will include some scrub removal and the creation of a bog pool in this beautiful nature park. The session will start at 10am and end at 3pm, but people are free to come and go during the day.

If you’re joining us, please bring a packed lunch. As always, volunteers will need to be prepared for extremely muddy conditions and all weathers (wellies, waterproofs and warm clothes essential! We will be working in a very wet area).

Please let Iain know if you'll be coming, and transport can be arranged from Glasgow University by getting in touch with Iain Maclean by email here, or on 07772 318950.

If you are making your own way to the site we will meet at the entrance nearest the A721 - have a look at the map here for more information.   The address of the site is Greenhead Moss, Wishaw, ML2 8AY.

We hope to see you there!
